
Anthony David Gonzalez was born on 27 February 1976 in Torrance, California. He was born in southern California. He attended Huntington Beach High School and was a star basketball and football player. Gonzalez was a star in these games at University of California, Berkeley. He was the team's football coach to the 1996 Aloha Bowl. Here, Gonzalez set the school bowl record of nine receptions. Gonzalez led the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of NCAA basketball tournament just a few months after. After graduating from high school, he entered the 1997 NFL Draft. Gonzalez was chosen at number 13 overall by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was a part of the Chiefs from 1997 until 2008. Gonzalez was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez never caught less than 59 passes during Gonzalez's second NFL season.
